Yo Tengo This Idea

i haven't been here before but it feels oddly familiar. i've seen these stacked houses in all the colors of the crayola rainbow and thought to myself, how on earth are these paper walls still standing? i've walked the streets, gently sloping, leading to an makeshift, outdoor market where thirty flies circle round a family sat selling sumptuous fruits and vegetables. i watched a man in a blue, striped tank top cast his line out to sea--and for what? i looked over the jagged cliffs to the water below and saw straight through its shining surface. fish zipping, multicolored. coral and sea weed in a tangled, glorious 'naut'. unruly gardens and fantastical creatures//a life without air. pulling myself away from the stunning vista, the sun meets my eyes. temporary blindness, but, whatever, man.
